Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS)

By combining years of aquaculture expertise with the most cutting-edge RAS technology, we offer complete land-based fish farming solutions with maximum control, minimal maintenance, and unparalleled sustainability for the local production of fish and seafood.

How we
support you

01

Feasibility Study

When conducting a feasibility study, we consider a variety of factors, such as market demand, site selection, fish species selection, legal requirements, possible environmental effects, operational costs, and financial projections. It would also entail determining whether the site, including the quantity and quality of water, land, and electricity, is appropriate for the suggested RAS system.

While we help you set up your RAS fish farming operation by giving you complete documentation that satisfies the requirements of investors and regulatory bodies, each of these pieces of information is crucial for projecting the amount of revenue your farm can bring in.

02

Design, Construct, and Install

We create a RAS fish farm design package that outlines the installation of all sets of equipment, a comprehensive site construction plan, and a thorough engineering and technology blueprint. The primary design includes fish tanks, a mechanical filter, a biofilter, an oxygen enrichment unit, a UV disinfector, and more. We design and construct farms of different capacities.

Our highly automated farming process ensures the water is recirculated through a filtration system to remove waste and replenish oxygen, supporting environmentally friendly farming methods with absolutely zero environmental impact.

03

Training and Support

We assist you in the initial phases of launching your fish farm, train your employees, and provide advice on maintenance, improvements, and technology. The support services we provide, such as technical training, business training, on-site training, help with troubleshooting, support for research and development, and consulting services, are available for you to pick and choose from. Additionally, we will assist with fish stocking and monitor the acclimatization of fish in the fish holding tanks; in short, let it be before, during, and after project execution, we are at your service.

04

Upgrades and Management

We continue to provide suggestions for improving processes and upgrading systems. There are several types of upgrades and management services we provide, like upgrading filtration and oxygenation systems, implementing monitoring systems, biosecurity measures, environmental controls, and using management software for better data tracking and analysis. These are to ensure you get the most out of your fish farm; since our RAS fish farming setup is modularly designed, there is always room for expanding the current unit and making the required upgrades.

Our proven RAS technology process

Our goal is to make aquaculture installations more productive, efficient, and sustainable while improving fish quality. We use cutting-edge technologies in such a way that the components and processes work together to create a closed-loop system that recirculates water through the RAS.

Feeder System

Our feeding system, which is completely integrated and has minimal operating costs, enables precise feeding at various intervals. The system uses an advanced control unit to monitor the amount of feed provided to the fish and adjust the feeding schedule and amount as needed to ensure the health and growth of the fish, thus minimizing waste and maintaining good water quality in the RAS system.

Fish handling

Tanks are used to hold fish in the RAS system; our efficient fish handling equipment and technology provides flexible movement of fish between the tanks, also monitors their health, and manages the population. Based on the species, weight, and number of fish you intend to raise, our team can assist with designing the ideal solution.

Aeration/Oxygenation

Aeration systems provide oxygen to the water in the RAS system, which is critical for fish survival. Several methods are used to aerate systems, the most common being the use of oxygen injection. We offer a wide range of products that can help, including low-head oxygenators, ceramic oxygen diffusers, oxygen cones, air blowers, or other mechanical means.

Filtration

There are mechanical and biological two-stage filtering methods. Biological filtering devices are used to turn ammonia into harmless compounds while mechanical filters are used to remove larger waste particles. Systems that combine mechanical and biological filtration make fish healthy and produce more of them. We also offer full equipment solutions or individual components.

Removal of CO2

We provide gas management systems that efficiently remove CO2 and pure nitrogen to maintain the right amounts of gas saturation for wholesome fish production in the RAS system. To eliminate extra CO2 from the water, degassers or CO2 stripping columns are used. There are several methods used; a combination of aeration, degassing, and biological processes is often used to effectively remove CO2 from the water in a RAS fish farm and maintain optimal water quality for fish health and growth.

Ozone and UV treatment

We provide two common methods to clean the water and avoid disease outbreaks in the RAS system. Proper monitoring and maintenance are critical to ensuring the effectiveness of these treatments and preventing potential negative impacts on fish health and growth. While UV radiation can eliminate pathogens. Ozone is a potent oxidizing agent that can eliminate bacteria, viruses, and parasites. The selection of the appropriate treatment method depends on the specific conditions of your fish farm.

Questions about RAS’s technology, projects, investments, or anything else?

Is RAS fish farming profitable?

Uses significantly less water than traditional aquaculture because it recirculates water through the system rather than constantly discharging and replenishing water.

Provides a stable and controlled environment for aquatic organisms, which can reduce the risk of disease outbreaks and improve growth rates.

Allows for the production of aquatic organisms in a controlled environment that minimizes the risk of pollution and disease transmission.

Optimize the growth of aquatic organisms, leading to higher production efficiency and increased profitability.

Reduces the demand for wild fish stocks by providing a sustainable source of farmed fish.

If your company uses multiple modular systems, you can experiment with new species while still breeding your primary species in the other systems.
